Hi everyone, can enlighten me on these.
what is the different between an automatic regulator & an manuel one? Because the price different is quite big.
What is the different between a Regulator and a solenoid?
Now in the market, there is those product regulator + solenoid one... I looking for those that have timing one, can set time to on Off. Pls advise which one should i get and the price. Thank Q

What he means is difference between "manual regulator" and "regulator + solenoid".
Explanation:
1) manual regulator = most people just turn on the valve permanently because you cant control the switch off unless manually switch off, that waste alot of CO2 during lights off period, fauna may suffer if CO2 is turn higher. 24hr on will cause your fauna and bacteria to suffer also.
2) regulator + solenoid = with solenoid attached to the regulator you can connect the electrical wire that comes with the solenoid to the timer for controlling when you want the CO2 to be switch on and off during the lighting period. Normally people will switch on the CO2 30mins-1hr early before the lighting period and off 30mins-1hr early before lighting off.
In another word, "regulator + solenoid" can control the timing when to switch on/off.
