Well...I use GEX soil..for all my 3 tanks which is 2 of 1feet cube and 1 of 2 x1 feet.

I put in the soil...plenty of plants..and let the filter run for 4-5 days...before i bought the shrimps.

So far from my experiences...green color breeds very easily....the eggs can be formed from the saddle in a matters of days...and i will put them in the shrimplets tank...and the shrimplets will come out after 2-3 weeks....dont have much luck with other shrimps though...surprisingly...red cherry...don get pregnant in my tank...

If yours is a new tank setup...its best to cycle the tank for at least 1-2mths for the BB to cultivate...quite risky to put in shrimps after cycling for a few days only...i learn it the hard way...put in shrimps to early before tank fully cycled...in the end lotsa shrimps died.

Can't wait to see your tank with different rainbow of shrimps. Was amazed at how you managed to get so many types within a short period of time? Should have post queries before buying, some people might already have some experiences of a mutli-racial shrimps tank.
