I'm creating this thread on those tools we can use for Aquascaping and keeping the hobby cheap.

Below are the scissors we can use for our plant trimming and maintenance, i found them in Polyclinic selling very cheap, those are surgical scissors. They cost around $5-$6 only. They are make of quality stainless steel from Pakistan, non-rusty. It may not be long but very useful. Anyone can post here on your discovery on plant trimming and maintenance tools.

    Normal trimming scissor
Usage: general use, trimming plant before replanting, etc

    Curve front trimming scissor
Usage: detail trimming, trim stem plant, etc

Crypt or hard stem plant trimming scissor
(notice the cutting blade each side is different)
Usage: best for thick Crypt plant or nana plant, etc

    Interlock gripping scissor
Usage: best for BBA algae with the interlock behind when you need power to pull away the BBA.

Adrian, I think we can use these scissors comfortably in smaller tanks up till 2 feet size. I can't imagine using them in my 4 feet tank, too tiring!

Extract from my previous thread on the tools found. You can get it from "Spotlight", ever since the location announced, all have being wipeout by our readers in AQ, hopefully they have bring in more. Kind of scary AQ people are although no one mention they have bought it, all are secret agent hiding in the dark.

Tools for trimming your foreground. Stainless steel and make from Pakistan. Until now it has not appear a single rust, good quality stuff!

Both cost around $35, i got a VIP card so cheaper that time i bought.

    Foreground trimming scissor
    Usage:
all foreground plants and be use, such as Glosso, hairgrass, HC, etc...
Note: very sharp tool, one of my friends accidentally cut an Otto and it still survive, can imagine is so sharp.

    Spring cutter scissor
    Usage:
    trimming moss, detail trimming, etc...

    more to come...

Extract from my old thread also. For serious hobbyist ONLY.
Here is my IKEA Maintenance Trolley with Daiso Tools Hanger Cheap and good, most importantly is mobility, this is the best i can find, better than brand one.

You can put fertilizer, maintenance tools and etc...
The IKEA trolley only cost $19(can dismantle easily) and Daiso tools hanger cost $2, total only $21, still very cheap.

    You walk,walk but never see,see..........
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
