Saw my very pregnant green shrimp trying to moult and whipped out my camera... the poor gal had such a hard time trying to get out of her too small shell... took forever.

Have never actually seen a shrimp moulting till now... even though i know they do it all the time... moults everywhere!
Do they usually have much difficulty?

    My other shrimps..

This baby's about 8mm long and growing...

    Doesn't this crs look smiley?

    Just sharing! cheers!

    Wow very nice...
Never seen them moulting before in action
Most of the time they hide under driftwoods or plants to moult
    Very good camera skills too

Re: Ever SEEN a Berried Shrimp Moulting?

Guess what, the shrimp in question spawned yesternight...
AND... the funny thing is, when i spotted her today, she wasn't completely moulted yet, could see remaining moult trailing by her sides and under her belly, so much so that she attracted a shrimplet, which sort of tailed her... nibbling at the bits of moult which were still stuck on her.
    very interesting sight!
