    You want a tip Amar?

Keep this tank in a shaded spot with regular wind, get some hornwort, let it grow wild at the top. If this tank has a wide surface area, you only need cooling fans and it should keep your Axies happy. Ronwill aka Ronnie, a good friend and a fellow killie keeper, used to keep a tank full of Aphyosemion australe in a 4 foot tank at a staircase landing near his home. I remember dipping my hand in once to help clear some of the fish and the temperature was nice and cool. I did not measure the temperature but it was probably below 23 deg C or so. And this was without any chilling device.

You can still give them a happy home with the use of a proper filter, be it a sponge filter or a canister filter. Using things like lily pipes and such to dissipate the current over the surface area is also worthwhile to consider. While I am not an amphibian enthusiast, I feel there are things that can done easily, even in a tropical zone like ours.
    Fish.. Simply Irresistable

I heard a little bird mentioning my name!

Amar, a large surface area to water depth (shallow) ratio, along with good ventilation (or a fan), should work best for your purpose without implementing a chiller.

If you wish to further increase the oxygen level or cool the water further, plus the advantage of wet/dry filtration, search the archive for Henri DeBryun filter (modification from a OHF). It is very possible to achieve 24ºC and even slightly lower, especially during the monsoon season.
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,
    Ronnie Lee
