if it's hair algae, try yamato shrimps or pencil fish.

but really, the key is to make sure if you don't get them in the first place. there's plenty of posts on this topic. do try to read up on them and i'm sure you'll find your answer...

    Mivec,

Care to describe the algae? Pic if you have.....

Anyway, I had hair algae attacking my moss before too. Pencil fish and SAE are quite good against these algae. Another way is to manually removing hair algae by using a toothbrush and brush the algae away. Quite effective, give it a try.

Any specie of pencil fish will do the trick?

I tried rosy barbs and SAE but it appears to me they aren't as effective as others have claimed them to be.

    Cheers!

How about considering adding one packet of 100 malayan shrimps into your tank? It worked for my tank.

Cost $6 a packet if buy from a Yishun LFS (search the forum for "malayan shrimps&quot
