    Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but here goes.

I'm moving to my new place soon and I'm considering decommissioning my current 1m tank at my parents place. I doubt I'll be setting up another one in my new place, as such I need to get rid of all the existing livestock inside the tank

I was just wondering how do you guys go about it? Just catch all the fishes, pack them up then give the away?

    Thanks!

erm. normally live stock goes first
    follow by plants
then the rest of the equipments - tanks, filter, lights, co2

    hope this will help.

start with rocks wood etc etc, follow by plants
easier to catch fish when tank is empty
drain water as the same time siphon out soil
    lastly equipments

    cheers

Thanks for the advice... I too think I should get rid of the plants and ornaments first, if not it's impossible to catch all the fishes!!

So who do I give the fishes to then? Just post online hoping someone will want them?

What kind of fish you have now? If you don't want to give out the fishes, then you can sell at a reasonable price at the marketplace. There will be buyers out there willing to take over your fish. Since you are a photographer, then take nice picture of them and your requirements, and you can sell them fast.

this could be obvious but it will be even easier if you siphon out the water to as low as you could, then you will not be chasing the fish around too much
