I wonder how it would cost to maintain that.

hmm... it looks like the fish has problems avoiding each other... . I would prefer mine to have much less fish... but then that's just me...

Wow 5000 cardinals!! The sight of a school of cardinals is always a sight to behold though i think it's a bit of an overkill here.

By the way how do you guys keep a large school of cardinals growing well? I usually keep 8pcs of cardinals in my 3ft tank but they'll start to grow thin one by one and die until left two with the two being the fattest. I usually buy them when they are small and all of them will have good growth until after a couple of mths later and when they are much bigger then one by one they'll start to grow thin and die despite my best efforts to feed more. I've repeated this a no of times and it's always the same results that's why i don't keep them anymore.

Is there bullying by one or two dominant one that's causing this problem?

i highly doubt you will see 5000 cardinals even in nature.. i personally find it a bit over-kill.. i rather have a small school that can swim around in the tank. this is just overpopulated..

many fish but yet for such a big tank.. they look like specs. I think its a bit funny to see 500 specs swimming around. i would much rather see 70 fishes swimming around.
