I'm sure some aquarist will have the same experienced here. When we start off this shrimp hobby, most will start with the more affordable ones thus lower grades, very low grades i'm talking about & eventually moved on to better grades especially CRS. So, my question is, what do you do with your previous experiment ones? Especially when you end up with lots of Shrimplets which eventually glow into a whole colony! Do you just feed them to your fishes? Yes! That's what on my mind now!?

Thanks to all you kind people! But i really like to know what others do with theirs besides selling & giving? When they just keep multiplying and multiplying? You just keep them? In Thousands? Bees can make honey but not these bees you know. By the way, how many can you keep in a 2feet tank of maybe 85litres of water?

You could sell off all at a go. Or sell off as packages

Hmmm, about maximum of 200 for 2ft tank.

I started with 15, multiplied to over 100, in a 1ft tank. problem with small tanks is keeping water parameters constant. also, diligent wc is needed. mine didn't last long.. about 1 1/2 years before the tank slowly crashed. all this with a sponge filter only.

don't think there's much else you can do with the population explosion besides, well, removing them.

i think that once the shrimps settle down, and water parameters are maintained, nature slowly takes its course. I try not to do too many things to the tank once there are shrimps in there; ie. no rearranging of plants, adding stuff like rocks etc. but a 1ft tank can only hold so many shrimps..

All the graded ones ancestors are started with C grades CRS as far as I know so yes should be your answer but it doesn't mean you mix the B grade with the SSS & you'll immediately gets results! Their offsprings could still be a bunch of B grades! I'm sure some of our best "SHRIMPERTS"(shrimp experts) can explain better!
