Looking good. Fat and healthy. Nick have taken good care of them.
Here's my group of 6 Etroplus Canarensis i got from Nicktc in the early quarter of this year. So far, has grown close to 1/2 an inch or more.
Some algae stains here and there that ive yet to scrub. And i added abit of brownish black gravel to the sand to give it a more natural river look. They are on a diet of frozen brineshrimp, tetrabits, hikari sinking pellets, mysis shrimp and some vegetable food mix like boiled zucchini with powdered spirulina etc. Thought id share.

Looking good. Fat and healthy. Nick have taken good care of them.

kinda of interesting. Do they require acidic or alkaline water?
Would be good if have a closer shot.![]()
They can live in both acidic and alkaline water, just avoid the extremes. Ill try to get a close up picture![]()
Great to see that they are doing well in your care.
Is it just me or ... looks like there are some pairing activities.![]()
Would love for that to happen, but read somewhere that it takes 3 years for them to mature. Ohwell....![]()

Looking good.I've always wanted to try this fish, but I've never had the space. Do you have a full tank shot?
A July update, did some changes to the tank as well as wood placements and introduction of more river rocks to create more swimming space and replicate as close as possible to where they came from.
So far the biggest is at 9cm - 3 inches plus.
Been 9 months since ive last updated this thread.
Some pictures now, and their permanent home.
