How to treat Wild Singapore Moss?

Hi all,
Read some thread in this forum and found out that Singapore Moss can be easily found in singapore ground! After reading the web, I went downstair to find and indeed I found them! Please read this website.

Just a question, If I want to put them into my shrimp tank, how do I process them? Just pluck them out from the patch of mosses or dig the whole patch with the soil and place them in my tank. Is the soil harmful to the shrimps?

I'd definitely wash the moss thoroughly first.
