Adrian, correct me if I am wrong. I recall in your winning scape last year, the Cyperus helferi is also all the way to the top of the water surface.

That is different plant, Cyperus helfery, valis nana, E.vivipara would look better is grow all the way to the surface

There is no specific rule, sometimes stem plan can also look nice if grow all the way to surface.

That is E.vivipara, they usually scape in this manner, they are difficult to trim and they grow super fast. If you notice they are being pull to front and form a curve down. Depending on the scape you created also. For stem plant usually it has to be below water surface or create a very slope front till the back end just touches the water surface.

Err nothing special really. Just plant a lot right from the beginning. Like a pencil lead size every 1cm apart. Do like a checkerboard pattern. THen you just wait for it to grow. Most importantly, you must know the plant's requirement. It would do better in low temperature etc.

Ok, since I ave posted my scape here, I am going to announce it here first. I am going to take away all my plants from the back. And replace all with Cryptocoryne Balansae. So is there anyone who would want these plants? They are ludwigia Arcuata on the left and Ludwigia Brevipes on the right. Please let me know. I am taking them out tonight

Adrian, thanks for the explanation. If I am asking stupid questions that is because I am still learning.

Nice to see the Ludwigia brevipes can be used to good effect as a back ground plant. Mine is growing pretty well. :-)

I have always loved Brevipes. I simply love the brevipes at Polyart. It is so neat. I can't seem to keep mine neat like that.

Hi everyone, I am selling this tank as a set. Anyone interested please message me at 98578476. Only thing missing to start running is a filter as I need to use the filter for my new tank.
