Have it in my office tank since it wasn't playing well with my other fishes. Currently at 20cm in a 2x1x1 ft tank, growth rate became phenomenal after weaning him onto bloodworm. Extremely voracious when it senses food, will jump up to a body length to get it (good eyes). Plans to integrate him into the big tank after he grows up abit, but will need another intermediate tank to grow. Best snakehead I ever got.

It's Scientific name is Parachanna Obscura or Parachanna Insignis, not very sure. Actually I bought it by misidentification I wanted Channa Lucius or forest snakehead which is an Asian species. Auntie told me that it was from Thailand, where forest snakehead is endemic, I have to admit to my inexperiece eyes it does have the correct profile! It grows up to 60 cm supposedy, this is still a juvenile.
