Under these names moss sold in our country.
Sellers often give incorrect names.
Among Amblystegiaceae I could not find anything like this moss.
Sorry for my English, I use online translators![]()

Traffickers?! Haha, that's rather misleading translation.
But I get what you mean, sellers often don't give the right names.
Maybe experts like timebomb and shadow will know?
Your English is okay, Vitaly. I can understand what you are saying. I like to ask you a couple of questions about your moss.
1. Are you growing the moss in your tanks? If so, how long have you been growing it?
2. Were the photographs shown in your first post taken by you?
3. How did you get the moss? Did you buy it from someone (a fish shop, a hobbyist or an online store)?
4. The person who told you the name (Amblystegiaceae) - where did he get the name from?
Your answers may help us to identify your moss.

In Russia he has got from Taiwan, company supplier not known.
The moss spreads under these names, whence they and insofar right, not known.
Ostensibly native land this moss - Brasilia.

This moss I have in my tank 1 months from familiar hobbyist from Moscow.

Vitaly, thanks for answering my questions.
Now we know your moss can be grown in our aquariums. In other words, it can survive underwater. We also have an idea as to the place of origin which you said is Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. It seems like your moss is already fairly well-established in Russia but as far as I know, it's something new to us in Singapore.
You satisfy all 3 conditions. So I'll be happy to take your moss to the professor for identification. Please send me a small sample. If you have never sent moss from one country to another, please take a look at this post.

Vitaly, I tried to send you a private message but it seems like you can't receive private messages yet. So I have no choice but to put my mailing address here:

If it helps, I know Vitaly, I have his contact details, I have the same moss growing submersed for quite a period of time, I can receive private massages here. So I, with pleasure, can help you to keep in touch with him if you need.
Kokon, thanks for offering to help out. It will be great if you can send me some of the moss that Vitaly showed us. I will be meeting the professor sometime next week, probably on Tuesday or Thursday. So, if it's okay with you, please send the moss as soon as you can. Thanks.

Unfortunately I will be able to dispatch the plants late in May, not earlier, for I am going on business to Europe next week till that. So if it still works for you I will send the plants as soon as I am back. Maybe I can find something else in my tanks to surprise you guys. Or if the time is urgent then Vitaly still can help you.
It's okay, Kokon. I can wait till May but it could be a couple of months more after that before I get to meet the professor. He's really busy these days with his work at the Botanic Gardens.
