    IS a 13w clamp on enough for a 1.5ft tank? currently having christmas moss and taiwan moss. Intend for a moss tank. Thanks

    13 watt is enough for a 1 feet tank. Moss don't need too much light.

    Thanks guys. Because I was looking at a 24w pl osram lighting for the tank. So I was wondering if I should get it. Is it energy saving btw? THanks

    i use a 24w pl for my 1.5ft but a 13w should be okay. Especially if you dont dose ferts heavily and inject co2

    Does 24w cost u alot on the bills? And how long do you normally on the lights?

    running a 24w light for 8 hours a day, the monthly electricity bill is around $1.20.
    generally, lighting period should 8~10 hours.

    really $1.20? i didnt know that

    Well now i learn how much my lights add to monthly bill

    But in general all electrical equipment does not cost a bomb to run except chillers.....usually

    I see.. any recommendation for lighting for a 1.5ft tank other than clamp ons and price?
