13 watt is enough for a 1 feet tank. Moss don't need too much light.

if only for moss, probably ok
Thanks guys. Because I was looking at a 24w pl osram lighting for the tank. So I was wondering if I should get it. Is it energy saving btw? THanks
i use a 24w pl for my 1.5ft but a 13w should be okay. Especially if you dont dose ferts heavily and inject co2
Cheers,
JJ
Does 24w cost u alot on the bills? And how long do you normally on the lights?
running a 24w light for 8 hours a day, the monthly electricity bill is around $1.20.
generally, lighting period should 8~10 hours.
thomas liew
really $1.20? i didnt know that
Well now i learn how much my lights add to monthly bill
But in general all electrical equipment does not cost a bomb to run except chillers.....usually
Cheers,
JJ
