Cherry Barbs ... are they peaceful?

Hi. I went out for lunch yesterday and to my surprise, found a little fish shop near the hawker centre and ended up with 10 small cute yellowish/orange fishes that have a stripe down the middle and a reddish tinge on the mouth and fins. I looked up photos and assume that they are cherry barbs.

Are these friendly fishes? Or are they aggressive. Since these are babies, I don't see any activity other than "eat" and "play".

Cherry barbs are friendly fishes, they are active and eat like pig.
They also peaceful with other tank mates.

They can grow a fair bit from the size you see them at now. Peaceful fish but become boisterous at feeding time.
