what colour is the eggs now?
Hi all,
hope you can enlighten me.
I've got a crs which has been berried for over a month!! Why is it not giving birth yet?
am concerned.. i still see her belly moving and her legs fanning to oxygenate the eggs, but why is she taking so long?
My tank temperature is about 25-26... she gets fed, water is fine, no deaths, plants growing extremely well etc.
help!
thanks![]()

my Berried CRS has been pregnant for almost a month too , still haven see any crs shrimplets yet

Most likely already given birth. The babies are very small and redness only more obvious next few days. Just look out near the foliage.

2 nights ago, late at night... suffering from mega headache... thought i'd relax by tank tellying. thought i saw a teeniest crs resting on a moss...it was gone in a flash!
could not find it the next morning(believe me, i sat there throughout breakfast!)
so i put it down to headache messing with my vision!
LAST night, spotted the teeniest bds!!! ran n grabbed my camera!
didn't see either today... sigh... are they ok? are there more of them?
Did you managed to snap some photos of the bds shrimplets?

wow. so exciting. hope to be like that one day.![]()

yup patience is important.
i saw mine berried CRS give birth 2 nights ago, after like 27 long days of waiting. at first i thought she was shitting, then i realised the 'shit' has strips. Also, the she seemed like she gave birth in batches, meaning the next day, there were more shrimplets appearing. The feeling was divine. and i noticed that the shrimplets will tend to dwell near the spot they were born at.
Experienced forumers, correct me if i'm wrong.![]()

does the mother shrimp feeds on food when she is bearing the shrimplets

Yes she still feeds when she's bearing shrimplets

Very excited right? got the same feeling too, wait till neck long long.
Quick question
When they carry eggs, confirm it will hatch? Or will there be unfertilize egg?
