    Hi all,

A week ago my female apisto diplo was killed by the male and her tummy was ripped open by the male and the eggs inside eaten.

my tank has got ketapang leaves and a cave for it to hide, it even has some plants.

    Anyone else encounter this problem?

If so, how do you reduce aggression?

The tank not only need to have leaves, caves and plants.
you will also need to have dither fishes like pencil fishes to divert the male attention.

Another suggestion is to introduce more pairs of apisto to divert the attention and aggression concentration for certain pairs.

This is recommended if you have a big tank. Small tank will result in casualties.

It probably died before it got its tummy ripped open by other inhabitants in the tank.
