How to get rid of faltworm and seed shrimps in my all shrimps tank?

Hi all,
I'm currently having many flatworms in my all shrimp 1.5ft tank. Will appreciate it if you can help me out with the few problem below...
1) Where did these flat worms and seed shrimps appeared from?
2) How do I get rid of them? ( having lots of shrimplets in my tank , so guppy to eat them solution is out

)

That is a very good idea! will get it done asap to keep those seeds away. Any suggestion how to catch the flatworms? They are the really disgusting ones actually.

i have those flat worms in my shrimp tanks too. i use a stupid method, using a steel ruler to kill them . Still searching for a faster wy to kill them

Yes, I did that too with chopsticks! However, they just split into two pieces

and ran both ways.

I do not intend to put any medication as I'm afriad that the shrimplets might be affected, so whenever I see them I just push them off the glass to the water and scoop up with a net and wash it down my toilet bowl.

I can't, they will snack on my shrimplets.

I will siphone it out whenever they appear. It takes time but the populations will decrease very soon if you discipline yoursleves to catch at least 5 per days.

I have 3 of those fish in my Shrimp tank & still plenty of shrimplets booming! I've observe them for a very long time & i really don't think they attack the shrimplets at all. I also don't feed them & i think they are better than otto, they don't snatch food from the shrimps!

I'm sorry to say, I wouldn't want to risk any slim chance of getting my shrimplets snacked. I always have this motto, Never put fishes that have mouth bigger than my shrimplets together with the shrimplets. Unless they only eat algaes such as ottos.

I think I'll just scoop any flat worm I see and flush them down the bowl.

hi there, your trap works for seed shrimps.. do they also work for tiny white worms about 2mm long? reason why they're not longer is because i search them out and use the chopstick on them...(meaning squishing them till they're dead)

as for the seed shrimps, i have this daily regime where i use a plastic coffee stirer.. the disposable ones... to scoop them out when they're stuck to the sides of my tank... i get rid of about 3 - 7 every 2 days or so.

I just squish the worms and whatever insects on the glass wall with the flat part of the tongs. Very tedious must do it everyday. Otherwise I put in baby guppies to feed on them.
