    Seachem Flourish Excel is a alternative C source for plants. It is suppose to substitute/supplement the CO2 supply.

    Using Excel with low to moderate lighting, plants do relatvely well without CO2 supply. However, with extremely high lighting (maybe >3W/gal), it may not be sufficient by itself without CO2 supply (or maybe you have to up the dosage... haven't tried that).

    Note that Excel is do not provide any other nutrient besides C. So fertilisation with other fertilisers is still required.

    oops, i have more than 3 watts per gallon easily...

    the bottle says do not overdose... i am just switching on 1 lamp for now so now less than 2 W/G,because i just started on this small tank. K, will see how it goes! Thanks!
