The fish are compatible.
Are you planning to have some plants in it? Something simple such as Hornwort will help to soak up ammonia from the fish. These plants do not need a lot of light.
Good luck!
Hi all,
I started my first tank for my daughther (http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=66319). A week ago, we went to catch some more fish at a fish farm. Unfortunately, they were diseased and infected my tank. Then a dead small fish died in an obscure corner which was left unnoticed. The ammonia levels shot up and now all the fish in the first tank died.
The timing was uncanny since I had already planned to start my second tank at the same time. My wife used to have an oscar, so I am reusing her 2ft tank.
The tank dimensions are 2ftx1ftx1ft approximately. I am intending to keep the following fish.
6 white clouds
2/4 dwarf gourami
2 octos
Do you think this community is compatible? Any advise?
Cheers!

Juggler's tanks
Thanks for the reply, juggler.
I've actually planted some in my second now. In my rush, I grabbed some which appealed and forgot to ask the staff at Seaview to ID.
Here's my tank now.
I'm going by Seaview again later in the noon for some more plants and fish for cycling.
Hey, that's a nice setup to begin! I thought it was a bare tank at first.
Since it is a small tank, some small leaf plants like the MM you have would look nice in it. You can also plant more hairgrass in the foregound.
Remember not to overstock on fish.
PS: If you need MM or Hornwort, can get from me in Woodlands, if convenient.

Juggler's tanks
Hi juggler,
Thanks for the offer.
Coincidentally, I'll be near Woodlands later.
I've sent you an email regarding the plants.
Got the plants from juggler
The Salvinia (correct me if I'm wrong) are really nice!
Got some Endler's Livebearer instead of White Clouds as there were few of them at Seaview.
Just want to share something. Being a beginner, it's exciting for me
My last week, I bought some female Endler's Guppy for my male ones in the tank.
Today, I see fry in the tank!
