More ammania. Can this plant become redder than shown in the picture? Dosed much iron but still the same colour. Suffers from calcium deficiency once in a once. If you look carefully, you should be able to see some crumpled leaves at certain nodes .

Low nitrate could be the key to dark orange colour or maybe even red? Regarding Calcium deficiencies which you have been experiencing, what fert regime are you doing at the moment? Some ppl blame on high K...well...I don't think so..Now that I dose a fixed amount of N,P and traces 2X per week and K once after water change to a fixed volume of tank water and do large weekly water change I no longer experience calcium deficiency symptoms which I experience last time with constant testing and guessing.

Narcosis, where do you get the tablets?
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Geoffrey..I don't dose Mg nor do I dose Ca stuff. My tap of 3dGH is just fine with weekly 50% water change. The problem might well come from the lack of water change if you are not doing enough in which you might need to supplement due to depletion in concentration from plants uptake.

Peter: So tap water is your main source of Ca and Mg? You don't add fertilisers containing these or use coral chips?

BTW - how do you keep up the kH? Baking soda?

Yeah Pete, what's your buffer? Just that 3kH? Ever do water change once a fortnight and see something usual?

KF, are you thinking what I am thinking? : )

Yup, just 3dkH from baking soda....nothing special added...maybe some Ca and Mg from flourish..but I don't think it is that much. I always do 50% once a week..not once a fortnight. What did you see then? Geoffrey..how's your high nitrate consumption problem????
