Congratulation, ciaossu. It is always very interesting to observe how the mother fish caring her brood. Also, the male caca you got very beautiful finnage and very intense color.

Usually , what i do , remove the papa fish and let the mama fish handle the fries for like three weeks. Then, you can let them breed again. The caca will breed regularly once they started.

thanks man, i think i will leave the male inside as the female didn't show much aggression towards the male so i guess it should be alright. anyway, thanks for the advise. =D hopefully, this batch of fries can survive =)

Very nice! love the redness on the female as well. Great job. Do update on the fries. You can leave the male with the female or take him out. Depending on circumstances, some males ive seen actually look after the fries while the mum swims away foraging for food while some males stress the female out by forcing another mating sequence to take place.

Hi, thanks. i think i've lost some of the fries as i've quite busy this few days and unable to get some fry food and bbs for them. maybe they died of hunger. as for the male i've seen him picking up fries that has strayed away from its mama and splitting back to the area that is near their cave.

You might want to cover your filter intake with a sponge otherwise you'll lose fry to the filter if it is a powered one. Congratulations on the spawn ciaossu.
