Hi Guys,

Where can I get the Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss for using along with a Substrate for a planted tank?

I have heard that this does do wonders to a planted tank though it lowers the pH.

If you are in India, then you might want to try online gardening stores.
In Singapore, you can try the various nurseries along Upper Thomson road or World Farm at Khatib camp.

I wouldn't suggest using them as a substrate but place in your filter in a bag, you might also want to consider using sphagnum moss in your filter as well.

I did not understand what you meant. Did you mean that rather than using this as a substrate I using this in a Canister Filter?

I would like to buy the Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss and the Sphagnum Moss in Singapore.

Yes, that is what I meant. As a substrate, it will disintegrate over time and not a pleasant task if it leeches into the water column.

You are better off with ADA aquasoil or other similar substrate that can achieve a low pH unlike peat moss that potentially could stain the water. But if you are determine to try, place it into the filter cannister, for accessibility and ease of change.

I also suggest, getting the New Zealand spaghnum moss from Far East flora

Peat moss, you can buy from greenhouses/plant nurseries? They sell in big packs.
