4ft planted tank cost.

I finally could not stand it anymore, I proposed to setup a planted tank for my company.

Should be 4 ft and I inform that the budget around $1K+, is this possible? Thinking of using MH with CO2 injection.

Prices excluding fishes, plants and CO2 cylinder.

Possible to get the cabinet type tank?

Any place with good lobang for fish tank? Nice cabinet type.

Can someone help to work out the cost? I need to send the proposal on monday.

I have just done a 4 ft tank recently. That's why my school results were crap. I can tell you the price of the equipment I bought. The tank I used was a stand type but 4 feet with cabinet usually costs $599-799. Try to get everything at the same shop. Ok my equipment are as follows:

2 bags of Lonestar Sand ($44) or 4 bags of Europet AquaDecor ($40)
2 bags of JBL Aquabasis ($32)
2 sets of 2X55W CR lighting ($135.20) dun know if they have tubes for planted tank cos I modified mine to use the normal 55w PL tubes. CR tubes are slimmer and more ex.
1 Jebao 918 canister filter ($9used old media
1 TOM surface skimmer ($20)
1 Dymax CO2 Economical Set which consists of 2L cylinder, regulator, bubble counter, diffuser and some fert which I plan to use for my 2 feet. ($12
1 CO2 reactor ($15) changed to reactor as diffuser wastes away precious CO2.

Most of these can be gotten C328, Petmart and Nature. Call them to enquire.

i just set up a 4ft recently ...i dont think 1000 is enough ..at least 1500

Here's a rough budget from what I worked out.
Was thinking of the Ehiem 2228 which cost around $250 if I remember. Maybe the 6ft needs a bigger version?

MH get from those lighting shops which should be able to get a around $250 (with bulb) for 150W version?
