Sorry I've been out of circulation for a while. Got caught up with a lot of work in my company.....
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the plant in question is not a moss but a liverwort. But please don't ask me how I know. I just knowBut seriously, it's the way the leaves are arranged on both sides of the stem. Mosses do not have such leaf arrangements.
I suspect it could be a species of Heteroscyphus. Bioplast fish shop has something very similar in their tanks so we know it can survive underwater.

yes it is underwater, it has been in my tank for at least a year.
