I just walked out to my balcony and found my female foerschi, Michelle, dried up and covered with ants. Imagine my trauma, if you may. My beautiful Michelle jumped out...heaven only knows how she did because the tank was very well covered. I have to spend the day questioning Barack to find out more and uncover the facts. The White House will never be the same again.

I always name my pets. Makes me feel closer to them...even when they commit suicide. *sigh*

when I feed my bettas, I call out their names... "here fishie fishie fishie"

a few of my previous bettas jumped when I slide the cover open to feed or clean the tank without realising.

I made an error in my morning obituary. Well, it wasn't Michelle. She's well and alive, hiding in the leaf littler.

It was one of my new enisae.

Can't tell which one yet...the dead fish is too dark and dried up to see. the one left is in mourning. *sigh* It's hiding, and I just hope it won't observe the 100 day rule.

aww.. That's a really sad news for you bro. But take it as a lesson. just be more aware of the covering and the same thing wont happen again.

Yeah, they can appear on the floor next to an apparently betta-proof tank. There may be some teleporting abilities latent in some individuals....
