just keep sucking them up. eventually you'll get rid of them. its not like they replicate from spores.

My water surface is infested with duckweeds! Can pull my hair out in frustration trying to remove them. It all started when one of the forumners here kindly gave me a cup of riccia. A few duckweeds were in there as well... decided to leave them alone. Now my whole water surface choked up with them. How can i remove them? I used a sieve but they always appear again... [] [

Why not use a surface skimmer. It is much easier than using net to remove.
No choice... guess i have to keep sucking them up...

use a net instead.

try adding a duck.
Use a net to scoop up as many as possible. If u have platys or betta, they will get rid of the remainder duck weed pretty fast. They seems to like eating duckweed....
i have encountered e same situation before...
but mine is only a small tank so its much easier to clear...
i think e key to getting rid of it for good is to be as "picky" as possible... take no prisoners... make sure every single leave is removed... so there's no chance at all for propagation...

Kevin, Net out as much as you can in one go. Then for the next few days/weeks, once a day, get a small net an scoop up every one you see... eventually you'll get all of them. Trying to get every single one in a day... well... could drive a man insane.
If they are multiplying so fast that a few leftover can very quickly cover the surface, then you have a lot of nutrients in the water.
