    Hi,

Not sure if it's common but I saw a common red cherry jump like 5 cm above the water. Is it common, will you need precaution when taking a shrimp out of the tank, just in case it jumps onto the floor?

I've never seen a shrimp jump unless it was while you were chasing it with a net, or already had it in a net.

Are there predators in your tank?

Shrimp won't jump out from the tank. They only climb up and out your tank when they are in great stress. Commonly can be seen after great WC.

Yup, they don't usually jump out of water unless being chased or under great stress. Don't mind showing us a picture of your tank as well?

They only jump when you net them or scare of something...

Hmmm... it seems that they are stressed... they do jump around in the plastic bag they are kept in.

Yes they do "jump". But jump is not a very accurate word. More like darting.
    So take some precautions.

    Hope they are alive?

Anyway, as to darting, why do shrimps sometimes dart in water? Is it water content is disagreeable?
