hi all.. please take a look at my riccia picture. it is not bubbling. its been in the tank for 2 weeks at least. it is growing well. in fact, it is the fastest growing plant in the tank. i tied with fishline, and after it grew tall, i tied again to fasten it down, trying to make it look bushier. but i never seen it bubbled.

I have CO2 injected into the tank. i had lights for about 9hrs daily, controlled by a timer. i do shut down the lights in between, giving 4hrs before and 5hrs after.

temp is maintained at 27 to 28 degrees with 2 large fans.

perimeters are all correct to me, very slight algae is visible here and there, but i am puzzled why it didnt bubble.

can anyone help me on this. Thanks.

Might be due to a couple of reasons i guess.. Might be not sufficient co2, lights not strong enough or ferts?

    Hi,
I think not only do you have to tell us the light wattage that you have. Can you tell us whether you dose fertilization in your tank? Although you hairgrass is growing heathily, it may be that it is getting the nutrients from the substrate. Whereas the riccia obtains fertilization from the surrounding water.
