It's not amazing. Try it and see the difference. Cheap and good snail controllers.

But beware not to put those that are too big with pincers. They can catch your tetras for dinner.

I have some pictorial evidence in this thread.

Biotope recently had a tankful, not sure if they're still available, why don't you call them up and ask?

    advise taken.

4 loaches bought with 2 in each tank except my luohan tank of course. *smile*

    Observation 1:
When added with Interpet Aquarium Treatment 11 (Anti Snail and heavy in copper), snails killed but quickly develops resistant to the medicine after the 3rd dose. Although there were no casualties, Cardinals show significant color fading. It is not advisable to use Snail Killers. Might be too heavy with the copper sulphate. Since then, it is not being used after water change with aged water. Heavy filtering done with Mr Cleaner to clear snail corpses and impurities generated.

    Observation 2:
Grown Snails start to move towards the surface of the water whilst the loaches lurks under the water bed after 2 loaches was introduced.

This tank is filled with Cardinals, Neon Tetras, Black Tetras, Yamatoes, Grass Shrimps, otos, buddies and loaches.

The bad side? I still have problems identifying fish names, at least what type of loaches is still a mystery to me. Bo tak qiay (Mei2 You3 Du2 Shu1) Hee Hee. Err...make that the same for the plants.

Go and get a book (Aqualog or something similar), burn it, mix ash with water, and DRINK [:] Guarantee you will be able to sprout scientific names as if you were born Latin-speaker

However if it is loaches you want to know about, then go visit Loaches Online

    Hi,
Just my observation. Whenever I feed with bloodworm, snail population increases in my 3ft. So now completely stop BW feeding.

I think the relation is this...

Most things which eat snails probably don't like them that much... i.e. if there was something better, they won't touch the snails (aside from puffers which probably like cracking snail shells for fun). So if you feed blood worms which is something that most fishes like, its likely that your "snail-killers" are all so well fed that they don't bother the snails.

Can also feed blood worm to the puffer fish. But you need to make the worms appear infront of the puffer fish else they won't notice and feed.

My puffer fish died not due to hunger but some other reasons. It seems like puffer fish die easily.

Another thing I noticed is puffer fish tends to attack shrimp as well. So it is not wise to keep puffer fish if you want your shrimps to live longer.

    Does Pufferfish only eat snails?

I got a whole tankful of snails at one time so I put two puffer fish in.

within a day, all the snails disappeared.

the week following that, my pufferfish seems to get thinner and thinner. Is it because it only eat snails and nothing else?

The two fellow has since died maybe because of starvation.

    any comments?

Si lang Choy, ai wa si ar? Ha Ha

Anyway, I already gone through that web before, trouble is, it seems to be a mix between a Clown and a Dwarf. Which in terms of fish history can be a very common method to produce new species for the people at large to buy them.

Remember a cross between a Koi and a Luohan? Or a Parrot and a Luohan? Yah, basically it sucks right? But hey, did u know that GoldFishes has been crossed breed as early as 3 to 4 AD according to China and Japan's ancient book? How do I know them? I got a Chinese Book talking abt this which was translated to Chinese, origins are written by a Japanese (Qi3 Yuan2: Jiang1 Hu4 Shi2 Dai4).

End of the day? Mei You du shu ar...

    Dreamgarden, you know what?

I got reverse effect. Now I feed BW hardly can see the snails liao.
