I've been wondering...after looking at other folks' posts and pics...if I have overdone it with the ketapang leaves and wonder if my tanks are too brown. Here are some pics...help please.

Sorry for the poor photography...I just took these and don't know how to turn off the flash in my camera.

    left to right...

    1. 2 ft pugnax tank with cories.
    2. 2ft tank with female enisae.
    3. 1ft cube with a pair of foerschis
    4. 1ft x 10in x 1 ft with a pair of mandor
    5. 1ft cube with a pair of channoides (can you see him in the pot?)

Sorry no pics of fish yet. Soon as I learn how to use this old camera, I'll post some. But is this overdoing the ketapang trip?

here is the pic of the 2ft tank that is cycling that I will probably put the pair of foerschis as they fight so much in the smaller tank. The female enisae may join them.

This tank was just set up about a week ago, filter and plants, driftwood added a few days ago, along with the ketapang leaves...therefore it's not as dark.

So have I gone all Ketapang Cuckoo?

Hi bro. Maybe some water change for pugnax tank? your plant might not grow well if the water is too dark. Because it will reduce light penetration.

That was taken tonight after I did a 20 percent water change of the pugnax tank with water that has been sitting for a week (aerated of course) with ketapang leaves (AGAIN!) in it. The pugnax and enisae tanks also have these HUGE pieces of driftwood that leech tannins like crazy! Maybe don't need any ketapang leaves then?

Maybe not that many leaves. 1 leaf but tear into pieces? Cause these leaves create hiding place.

One leaf only? hmmm...ok. Better take out like 4 or 5 leaves per tank then. hahahahah

Haha. i mean reduce the number of leaves by half. cause i don't know how many leaves have you added into the tank.
