I'm looking for some decent looking tanks (5ft/6ft).

    a) bioplast was something I considered.
    a 180cm x 60cm x 70 cm /12mmg glass no center bracing .
tank would be $2.5k, free delivery, however, the cabinet is completely made of chipboard, which is a huge minus. cos inevitably I'm going to get the whole thing soak wet.

    b) I like the look of the P.M.J tanks, however I'm not sure if they have 5ft/6ft .

    c) I'm currently using ocean free brand, no complaints except for the service. (ie: defective cabinet doors, had to wait for new stock to arrive (2mths), by which time I already filled the tank with water and it was way too much hassle to change the cabinet).

I tend towards tank with seamless edges (ie: made of only 3 pieces of glass, and open top.

optical clarity is a huge plus for phototaking too.

does anyone have a really nice tank that's made locally?/show pic
(besides aquatechnic, cos I don't think I can afford that..hahah)

The tanks are priced rather competitively I find.[]

this Lim64 guy has pretty nice tanks...
but they seem to be used mostly for aro and LHs... wonder if his tanks are suitable for use as planted tanks?

anybody knows about the quality of his tanks and his services?

    Dunno if useful or not...

If possible, try to get your tank in Malaysia. The prices there are around 50% cheaper. My colleague, a Malaysian bought his normal 6 ft tank with thick glass at a price similar to that of a 3 or 4 ft tank bought locally.

Best of all, they custom made to your preference, cabinet inclusive.

However, the trickly thing is the transporation. U need a Malaysian registered lorry/van to ferry your tank over here. Plus it may take the whole day to get your tank back in your house(probably have to take leave or burn weekend liao!)

Perhaps, someone may be able to help out. If anyone ever need the address, I can ask my colleague for it and post it here.

    Cheers!

Goondoo's suggestion might be worth considering if the location is friendly to you.

    Location

Seems to be near to Safra side. Give them a call first to see if they include transport. Test water first, if the price is just right, you might wanna consider that.
