Guys.. any recommendation to buy nice discus in S'pore or JB?
Is there any tax to pay if I bring any fish from JB to S'pore?
And how's the procedure?

From the AVA Website:
"4. Can I bring ornamental fish into Singapore?
A traveller may import up to 30 fish in not more than 3 litres of water or a mixture of the different varieties of ornamental aquatic organisms provided it does not exceed 5kg in total weight and must be within a traveller's limit for the various items. For details, please refer to AVA website at www.ava.gov.sg"

Also the usual GST etc apply when bringing in goods from Malaysia. I would say just avoid the hassle. There is a very good selection of Discus in Singapore.

Many LFS carry Discus here, and there are AQ members breeding discus who sell them occasionally on marketplace also.

Bro bringing in fish to S'pore not a problem but there is a limit of 30pcs n 3 litres of water and mind you the price do not expect cheap also. Thanks.

From my experience, fishes in malaysia are way cheaper than here. The only thing that i am not buying from malaysia is the hassle of going through customs.

Let's not forget our LFS gets their fish from Malaysian farms.

I went to Penang for a family holiday last week, and saw these beautiful white endlers but don't dare to buy, scared cannot clear customs. =(

Easier to bring in small fishes because of the water limit.

Bro you can try Chai Discus at AMK, Ah Kai at Pasir Ris fish farm, David at Bukit Ho Swee.
