My riccia doesn't seems to grow out of the wire mesh?? it's about 2weeks already...... why??
and the green netting is turning brown....is it bba??? thus blocking the light from reaching the riccia??

me having a 2ft tank, 2X36watts PL light, DIY CO2(2 bottles), liquid fert JBL ferropol, temp 27-28degC.

just started out this tank, cycle the tank without fishs for 2weeks and the whole 2ft tank is covered with wire mesh of riccia, is there enough plants to out-nutrient the alage???

    What's your NO3 and PO4 readings?
Maybe there's insufficient N and P in your water since it is a new tank and still cycling with very little fish?

You can use Sera PO4 and NO3 test kits. To raise NO3 and PO4, you may want to use KNO3 and KH2PO4.

Another way is to start putting in the fish now. And feed them more. This will provide more N and P. The JBL fertiliser you are using already has K.

Errr... I think you better not use KNO3 and KH2PO4 until you know what you are doing. I don't use JBL but believe it comes with most of the minerals needed by your plants. You may want to improve your JBL dosing regime to meet the needs of your plants first.

Try adding fishes and feed abit more like what Juggler suggested will also help since your tank is new.

Your CO2 is also important. Most Riccia usually has no problem with average liquid fertilizer dosing and good CO2 level, unless you're growing the mini type, then it becomes more demanding. Find out your CO2 level through KH/PH value, and ensure it dissolve efficiently with a good mixer.

Why don't you cut and paste the form here. It'll help you answer the questions these guys are bombarding you with. []

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:

A woman: without her, man is nothing.
