It's a taboo subject. While the White tree frog is the only ones legally available, the newt, although not legal to be sold, are available at lfs.

sad to say, those critters are not available sold in Singapore at all even for this newts!
This AVA really wants to phase our passion for critters out and the beautiful DIY trade into extinct!
Too bad for us unless we immigrate to our neighbor, Malaysia or Thailand to continue our passion of keeping mini exotic critters.
any one willing to let me know where to get it in sg??
can sms me at 97283541....
I already told you, there is no way to buy any critters in Singapore unless someone giving up the hobby but you arent going to get it. The reason why the seller rather sell it to the more experience hobbyist they know very well ..normally i must say a hefty price to buy those critters.
Try your luck, bro
I was just informed by one local farm that AVA requires evidence of dead FBN when they conduct spot checks at their premises... Sigh... That's how strict they are thses days... But seriously would the FBN harm our ecosystem in any other way? Personally I know of critters that has wiped out our country population of MBTs but the import of these aliens are still ongoing at a very alarming rate and price...
they were beautiful when it lasted...
to my opinion, AVA 's staff are pratically very new, they arent critter lovers. So they so keen to ban all critters even Green/White Tree frogs are legal to keep but AVA still ban indirectly!
Too bad, we live in Singapore where all our international friends frown when they heard that.Anyway, who knows, we're will retire one day, we can jolly immigrate across the causeway to keep exotic critters while we can.
hahah any places we can go to catch some? i fell in love with it after seeing someone post it in his vivarium!
They are not found locally as our climate are too warm for them to breed in the wild. Don't you research the animal before thinking of getting them in the 1st place?
