interesting!
as above.. i remember seeing a bro here doing a tank using twigs from roadside as tank's hardscape.. i too picked up some for my nano tank.. pour boiled water over it and washed it.. how long does it take for them to sink? and also will they leak out any sort of bad things?

interesting!
it really depends on what you're using. IF you don't know what kind of plant the twig comes from then you're running a risk.
Twigs from the willow tree i know should be fine.
did some scaping and will be adding taiwan/xmas moss to it soon.
my apology for this slanted photo.

Won't it rotten faster like that?
Very risky... i've tinkered with the idea too, but i don't want to kill innocent fish with due to my mistakes. =(
Please update how it goes. =) By the way, i read somewhere that you need to remove all bark and fibre down to the 'bone' of the branch. If not when it starts to rot....then it can be potentially dangerous.

thanks, since this set up has been done, will continue with it.. the cories are very skittish now.. don't eat much too.. however the EE fries in there are very greedy.. seems like no harm as of now..
