    Hi Mok & gchoo

Went to Festo yesterday afternoon. They dont have matching solenoid for my UP regulator. Otherwise, they are just not helpful. Maybe i am not technical enough to convince them that they have a matching part! Haha...

Anyway, i am back to square 1. Mok, You sure Nature got the spare part? I last check with them sometime back and he say no and went on to comment that he also "kanna gun" ( Mandarine).

Can some kind soul lead me to right path?

    Thanks.

Bro, I just checked with Chan last week on the availability of the generic solenoid. And yes he has it. So if yours is a 1st gen UP type. (Pls post pic to confirm) It will work!

    Hi Guys

I am back. Unfortunately with bad news!

    gchoo:
Ah pek probably has it but the lady there this mrg wanted to charge me $50 and have to leave the valve+solenoid there. So i didnt. As for Nature, called and chatted with Chan. He dont have the spare unless its other brand. Wonder why he didnt sell me the other type where he got spare parts!

    eric:
You are are right. Its the same. His is also spoilt.

    Mok:
Looks like i really need your help to find the replacement. I do have a spare manual gauge. From the picture you have posted, can i know where to get your valve so that it can match Festo solenoid and how much. How to tell Festo which model of the solenoid that i want?

Finally, anymore lobangs that i can try to get my solenoid changed? Am sure there is out there!

    Apollo,

Try to read Mok earlier reply very carefully, all the answer is already there, he even post the link of solenoid specification. Look for the link that is underlined.

Anyway the FESTO model is as follows.
I believe you can only get from FESTO.
Please bring along your solenoid for your purchase, try it out on the spot, just in case it doesn't fit. And make sure the in/output thread is 1/8'NPT

    Hi eric

Thanks for the reply. In my previous posting, i have already visited Festo. Took my solenoid there and they just say that they dont have a match.

Looks like i have to visit smc to get a t joint before i proceed to buy the solenoid from Festo? If so, can Mok descript which T joint to buy?

    Thanks.

    Apollo,

Your solenoid coil is spoilt, you don't need a T joint. Fix you soenoid first.

I sent you a long mail.

    Hi Eric

I know what you mean. But the problem is that i have yet to find a solenoid that matches mine. Anyway unless there are other brand of solenoid for me to try. If not its just Festo and i definitely have to find a T joint to match their solenoid.

So Eric, do you have any avenues for me to try? Thanks.

    Bro,

if you still havent found the replacement to your solenoid. You may want to check out Nature again. I was down today and found out that he now has spares for your 1st gen type of solenoid. The spare is made in Germany type.

I think I have the 2nd generation UP solenoid with the green colour dials. Do Nature has the spare parts for this 2nd Gen? BTW, what is the different between the 1st and 2nd beside the dials colour? Please advise. Thanks.

Bro, 1st gen type very hot, can cook egg for breakfast. 2nd gen type not very hot. If u oni want to replace solenoid for 2nd gen, probably oni place is Ah Pek. For 1st gen type can go to Nature.

    Hi,

I got same problem, thought that the solenoid was spoilt, sometimes got bubbles ,sometimes none at all. I refilled at BioPlast twice, Mr Tan was very kind and told me to bring down the whole works for him to check..... Bought it to him and he checked. Solenoid was alright, fine bubble control valve was the problem ... leaking... He changed it for me a BioPlast valve S$25 ...very impressed.

Why dont you bring it down to Bioplast ask Mr Tan to check for you. (Boon Keng MRT)...[] [] []

    Hi fcjchew

Thanks for suggestion. Comfirmed that my solenoid is spoilt cos it doesnt close at all.

Yet to ask Chan if he got my replacement yet.

    apollo,
If the valve does not close, it would mean that the valve itself is faulty. The solenoid is not the problem. If the solenoid is faulty, the valve cannot open.
    Cheers!!

I have purchased the solenoid valve and the solenoid from Nature. These are the two items you need to change in order to solve the UP's CO2 unit solenoid problem. I Will test it out this weekends to see if it fit. Chan has a sample at the counter shelf. Please check with him. Hope it solve your solenoid problem.
