just prepare a bottle of seachem excel for this type of situations. dose accordingly if not, extra dosing may help ( provided that there is no sensitive fauna like CRS inside )

Hi,
Just realised that my 1litre CO2 is completed depleted after just 1 month.
Brought it to 328 for refill and was told maybe take 2 days. So might get it back on Wed night.
Can the plants survive without Co2 for 3 days? Must I add something temporarily? If so, what? And should i change the lighting duration? It's currently set for 8 hours.
Thanks
Michael

Don't worry, your plants will be okay even if you didn't use CO2 for a week. Ever thought how the low tech tanks survive?

there is some amano shrimps and some neon tetra in there. My plants have just started to pearling just few days back.. and no got no CO2.. sigh.. bad timing.
I wanted to get the Seachem Excel at 328 just now.. but could find this brand.. though i didn't ask the boss... saw the M**** brand one... Any idea how much this cost?
Thanks
Michael

Relax, don't worry. Your plants will survive, it's only 3 days. Not 3 months. Becareful if you haven't used Excel before, because if you overdose it, not only your shrimps will die, your plants will turn yellow.

wow... ok, thanks for your advice.. think i will stay away from excel from the time being.. i'm not very good with dosing..

No worries, I am not saying that you cannot overdose excel, you most certainly can. But if you do not know what you are doing it can be more harm than good.
Actually, excel can be used to treat black beard algae, when you over dose it the algae turns from black to red!

hello mike, C328 does sell excel, And your plants will live through.
If your luck is good they might still pearl still.![]()
