Nope, these rocks are real. Why do they look fake?

Sorry, I've been bad about updating this. I've been dry-starting my tank with HC and Wisteria for the past few weeks. The wisteria is there to "soak up" nutrients to lessen the chance of algae after I submerge. For substrate, I am using one inch of garden soil topped with one inch of flourite. This is the Diana Walstad natural method, and in theory you don't have to add any extra ferts. 1/3 of my HC melted at the beginning, but it has almost covered the tank now. The real test begins after I flood the tank, as I see horror stories about everything melting due to the transition from emersed to submersed. I bought some Excel and I plan to dose heavily to add CO2 and help the transition. I'll get some pics up in a few hours.

Here is the updated picture. Wisteria has grown a lot, almost collapsing now because it can't hold itself in the soil. HC is now in big clumps. Pretty tall too. This is since mid-May dry-start. Wisteria has been in tank for 3 weeks or so. Still needs 2+ weeks for the HC to fill.

Bought them online from another forum. They are either seiryu or ryou rocks, if you want to find them.

I'm impressed! 5 months of DSM!
CO2 injection but no fert dosing? Without the wisteria, that's already going to be tricky...with the wisteria, I fear there may be deficiency issues?
