Nice setup bro, do update the photos when fully done. Thanks for sharing.

I think it's a pretty good piece by a amateur, good job bro![]()

Looks promising. I think the soil is enough unless you intend to plant some deep rooting plants.
While eviltrain bro is correct in saying you may want to add a slope there, i noticed you've a dining table behind it. So you may want to ponder over whether you want the tank to be viewable from both sides or just one.

very nice rocks you have there.

Don't mind a silly question.
Will this be a centrepiece on your dining table?
The rocks are stunning!![]()

Haha, no, the dining table is just there until I can get a proper aquarium stand. I'll place it in a corner where you can only see it from the front/side. It's quite ugly from the back.
Also, do you think these look better or worse:

The original scape layout in the 1st post is nicer! hehe
i agree with bro navanod. 1st photo is the best.

Yes.. i agree that the 1st photo is the best, it does give out the wow factor, maybe due to the fact that it look very nature.![]()

I just rescaped after someone offered some really good advice (switch the angles and positions of the two largest rocks). Probably will use this, unless someone complains that it's horrible ha.

nice stones you have bro, care to share where did you get it? i prefer the 1st scape =)

Not bad at all, i think it's good to go.![]()

would you like to try something with most of the rocks pointing at the same directionas the main rocks?

Thanks for the advice guys haha. The stones were bought online from a member on another forum.
Here is my latest scape. I decided to clean it up, only because if I wanted to grow plants it would be a pain with rocks everywhere. Now it is cleaner. Funny story, I did manage to stab myself in the thumb with scissors while installing aquarium parts. Ran around in a panic with my thumb gushing. Not a pretty sight.
I also setup my canister filter. Does anyone have experience with this? Because this tank is long, I put the outflow on one end and inflow on the other. Not sure if I am creating any deadspots. Also, that huge rock formation on the left takes up 1/2 of the width of the tank at least. Don't know if there will be flow problems. Maybe if I keep the outflow above the tip of the rock?

you might wants to add a wave maker at the in take side. it helps to prevent any dead zone.

haha like mine u saw this morning? but i think for his tank, with a wavemaker.. it spoils the whole image. mine already cui so doesnt matter, hahaa
I think getting a rainbar and pointing it toward the inlet would be best cos circulation won't be much of an issue if your filter is powerful enough although a wavemaker would definately give better circulation throughout the tank.
Iwagumi scape is rockscape with simple minimalist look and having too many equipments in the tank will distract and spoil the minimalist look.
