After taking into consideration various feedback from passionate fellow hobbyists i more or less have narrowed down my choices of equipment for a budget planted tank:

    -Atman HF0600 FILTER
    -2' tank
    -Aquazonic 32 x2 watts
    -DIY CO2
    -Fan
    -Ceramic Diffuser

Any comments, I am still open to making changes as I must admit that my choice was $ biased. I certainly could use some help with the choice of plants. I guess the choice will be very limited because of the cheap setup. As for gravel and substrate i am at a total loss

DIY CO2 might not be able to enough pressure for the ceramic diffuser to work. You might want to change the method of diffusing the co2. =)

as long as the bottle has no leaks its gonna work okay... let pressure build up then it will force though liao.. use silicon to seal tightly...

Might as well go for a co2 tan with manual regulator. 69 SGD at NA

Co2 tank with solenoid, 125 SGD at NA.

You should add in cost of subtrate too, can cost quite abit if you are going to use aquatic soils.

Might want to try getting a canister filter. In my opinion, alot better for the long run.
    Cheers,
    JJ
