How to feed your betta when your going overseas?

Hey! bro and sis, if you have wild betta or betta at home and your going to a 3day trip , how do you feed your bettas ? thinking that none of your familys or friends is helping you , as i am going to a overseas trip , and none of my family is willing to feed for me( 3 times a day frozon Blood worms) i dont think auto feeder can help me with that?any idea will be great ! thanks

3 times a day? I only feed once a day. hahaha. Fish are ok for a few days without food. I think three days is fine. But better hear what the other brothers have to say.

3 days should be fine. Maybe you can ask your family members to feed your betta once on the second day when you are away.

3 days not a problem, most can easily last for a week, and some can still survive without feeding for a month (highly not advisable).

One technique is to feed live food the day before you leave so that hopefully some would have escaped being eaten on the 1st day and live to become food on the 2nd and 3rd days. Tubiflex used be to my favourite food when i go overseas because most fishes cannot finish all at one go but since i have stopped using them due to disease issues you can try either purging them or using food like boon which can last 2 days or so....

They definitely will not starve to death not being fed for 3 days. Most people believe it helps to ''clear the system'' of the fish.

In the wild, fishes generally eat sporadically, like when they are able to find some prey, that is their big meal, which lasts them till their next meal. I dont know if captive bred bettas are different, perhaps just feed them a little extra the day before you leave.

I'm quite sure 3 days without food would not be a problem bro. Just try to make sure your bettas have a good meal before you leave. Haha. I once asked a seller in Thailand the same question. And he told me that when they ship their bettas overseas, they will be kept in their tiny packaging without food for up to a week sometimes and there's no problem. Even the shipping to singapore will take around 3 days. So should be fine bro.

But remember to cover your tanks. Because once when i came back from a 3days trip, i found 2 of my bettas on the floor. I believe they must have jumped out while trying to catch some food like a fly or something. Haha.
