I am sure ... Sim Lim TOWER has it.

hi all,
can any experts on electrical parts give me an idea on where can i find this electrical component.
from physics days, i think it should be a moving coil magnet, the size about 3 inches.
it has a U shaped metal surrounding a squarish copper wired component.
it is part of an air pump.
attached are some pics i took . Hope can understand how it looks like.
thanks.

Hi, I can't help because I have not gotten this specified part previously. Generally they do have most stuff (electrical, amps, IC chip and etc.) else they can help you to check out the green book and other stockist. If it is a customized part - be prepared to pay.
Btw, try Farnell, and RS component.

I don' think anyone will carry that, it's a part specifically built for air pumps, if you wanna fix yours, the only way would be to pull the plastic bobbin, buy some magnet wire of the same diameter as original, and rewind the whole thing (assuming the coil is broken or shorted), you can do this fairly easily by taking slowly unwinding the original coil and counting how many turns there are.
If you need a unit for experimenting, air pumps made in china are now cheap as hell, buy one and pull that out.
