lately it seems like small amounts of air can get into the filter.

today it becomes a bit more noisy - so as usual, i tried to shake the filter a little to get rid of the air

however, when i tilt the filter, water starts to seep out from beneath the release levers - same thing happens when i tilt the other side

but when the filter is upright, there is no visible seepage

i leave the filter running now but something must be done soon...

anyone knows what might be the problem?

Its probably time to change the O-ring that sits between the case and the motor head.
You can try using tooth picks at the clamp to see if it stops the leaking.
If it does you can be pretty sure its an O-ring issue.

maybe it's time to replace the O-ring.

ehiem is pretty good canister. change the o-ring between head and canister will help. The damage is $25.0
