Prevent soil from leveling due gravity

Hi guys, any idea how can I prevent soil from leveling due to gravity?
I have created a slope but it always tends to turn flat after 3 months.
Any tips?

I just place 'tall rocks' in layers. i.e tallest rocks where the gradient is the steepest and second layer of rocks in front with a gap to fill the substrate until ground zero.

Substrate and top level scaping ornaments (i.e branches or wire mash or more decorative rocks) will hide them from sight. It will save you cost on using more expensive substrate to achieve the slopes.

I've seen others using thin but firm acrylic sheets.

just to ask, the tall rocks in layers work like roots of a tree to stabilize the soil is it?

Yes, that's along that principal. That's how I do it.
