Hi wana check what do I need to set up a 1.5 ft tank? I know I will be getting a canister filter and GEX soil. How about lighting and co2 are they needed? And which food and water treatment liquid I need to add in the water?

get at least a 2 x 1 x 1.5 feet tank
chiller is a must for Caridina sp.
fan is ok for Neo Caridina sp.
filter get a 600LPH canister
chiller you can get A150 or CL280
Soil get ADA Amazonia 2 or GEX ( your preference )
try to get moss for them.

What is a 600LPH canister filter? Ehiem 2211 ok?
600LPH means 600 litres per hour flow rate. you can read up in the Invertebrates section for more information from how others set up their shrimp tank.

My tank dimension is 16 x 11 x 15. Is a chiller a need for CRS shrimps? and ehiem 2211 is it good enough for this tank size? do i need to use a Under Gravel System for this?
it depends on the temperature of your tank. if anything more than <28degree C with fan, i suggest you don't get CRS (even other shrimps ) until you can get a chiller. because even if you use fan. the evaporation rate will cause the water parameter to be unstable. everything i said just now will be void IF your tank is in a Air-Conditional room.

Thanks evil train... i think only sulawesi can live in water around 27 to 28..
Try cherry first. Get a hang of it then once more more veteran then try crs and other shrimps. Cherry to me is basics lol.. But no matter what for a shrimp tank.. diedie must cycle the water properly.. lol..
p.s. alan, the bogwood from you yest was put into good use.. lol.. thanks.. shall post a pic of my tank soon. Tried your method of vaccum and syphon while taking out the dws so my crses are still fine now.
