Ikea Vase Nano Tank Scape
Got a Ikea Vase lying around, so went to seaview to grab some simple plant and badis badis which I wanted to keep long ago and a packet of gex soil to make the vase useful again! No air pump is needed for this tank as Badis Badis has breathing gill of their own.
That's all folks, hope you had enjoyed my minimal and really simple setup.
very cute setup, what are you lighting it with?
Very nice. By the way, what do you feed the fishes with?

very cute! I like your 2nd picture - the one that you photoshop with many colours - makes you have a double look. I like super-low-tech easy-to-maintain tank using recycled glass tank (unusual one especially). AWESOME!
Actually this tank has no light on it, I put it next to my 14litre crs tank with 24watts of light so it may get some light from it and so far the plants are growing faster then I expected
I tried shrimp food, even bought a can of bloodworm they just don't really seems to eat it, I heard Badis only eat live food?
yes badis only eat live food. i have 3 of them to control the worm population in my tank. i feed pellet food to the other inhabitants but they never ever touched it. they just go searching for worms to eat
would guppys work for this? i dont see any filter in the pictures, will it turn dirty fast? but nevertheless its beautiful.
Nice clean vase!
apple snails shit a lot.![]()
I kept Badis long time ago and heard that they only eat live food. But they lived with other community fishes, so they were too slow to get any foods. Eventually, I think they died off.
So I was really curious to see what you feel them or having any problem feeding them other food.
is seaview still carrying the Badis?
...people ask why I eat fish even though i'm such an avid fish keeper... Bottom line is that I've been eating fish a lot longer than I've been keeping them...
just wondering if it will create a mosquito problem...
