Went to Midori last saturday to get Betta falx for a friend of mine, all of them are looking very good in my opinion, as in mature and healthy.
These are pretty easy mouthbrooder to spawn, their maximum size is around 6cm, so you can provide them with a 1 ft tank and they will spawn for you. pH and temperature requirement is 5-7 and 28-30 degrees respectively, not that demanding.
They accept sinking pellets (i tested in the shop itself, haha), daphnia and frozen bloodworm readily, so it is easy in terms of their feeding.

i put them in a small tank and out of my expectation, they spawned on Monday (yesterday), which proved their ease of breeding. i managed to capture their last embrace when i got home from work and also the brooding male...

look at the bulging mouth of the male...

Hehehe. Very cool. But where to keep the babies? In a pail? Hehehe.

*I MUST NOT GET ANY MORE TANKS! I MUST NOT GET ANY MORE TANKS!*

Congrats Jo. If you recall, Eddy had a few tankful of them within a few months of receiving his first shipment. :P

The real trick is to keep them from breeding.
