Help on changing shrimp tank???
Hi brothers out there, Currently I have about 30 CRS in a Lousy Tank with lots of scratches. I'm replacing it to a new tank and i'm collecting soon. Can some one give some advise on the procedure on how to shift the entire shrimps to the new tank. Current tank running with Eheim Pro canister filter and Hailea Chiller. Live stock including Moss and different grade of CRS from A-SSS. Some are berried. Should I use back the same soil???Or to use the soil which included in the new tank I bought from a Forumer here?The seller of this new tank also used for CRS keeping. Can someone advise me step by step??? Many Thanks....

erm.. bro newlife,
most guys here will suggest that cycle a new soil is better. what did the previous owner use the soil for? a planted tank or tank for shrimps? if planted tank, i'm worried that the remaining fertilizer used in the tank will affect your shrimps.

yes, if the shrimps are doing well in the old tank, cycle a new tank first. resist the urge to look at your shrimps first, to the shrimps the scratches do not make a diff. haha they wont look at you. so yups! new tank !! new soil!! put alot of effort into the new tank. but prepare to spend $$$$$$$Gooood Luck!
Thanks for the help to all of you.... Now just finished setting up the new tank. Use back the soil cause it was previously use for CRS..... Now just gotta wait for 2-3 weeks of cycle. I am only going to shift those A grade shrimps over except for those Mosura. Going to use my old tank as a breeding tank. Will update you guys when I release some commandos fire red in the new setup.
Right now.... Gotta look for 1 more chiller..... Next week going to brother NASTY's place to do some catching into my breeding tank.... Haiz spend money again...

Just finished my 20% water change..... Fire red still surviving...
Done water test today on my new tank.... everything going well... 2 A grade CRS invited to the new tank to test....
Previous 2 Fire Red still happily surviving...
